FUTO crisis why and how?

Federal university of technology,Owerri Imo state situated in ihiagwa IMO state in the eastern part of Nigeria experienced one heck of a crisis yesterday.
.. Subsequently due to the frustration of the unnecessary hike in school fees but there is more into these same frustration of the students than a hike in school fees.

                 Why?
1.   Hike in school fees: FUTO is known as the most expensive Federal university in Nigeria and analysis shows that the revenue generated annually from FUTO students, exceeds the most expensive university in Nigeria , Covenant University. #13000 was added upon the school fees in December citing Wi-Fi and transportation charges...Agreed but till date, no Wi-Fi is in FUTO and still yet students pay heavily for transportation. FUTO did not give all students registration number but yet locked all the portals with registration number, hence making students get locked out of school.. The Vc of FUTO subsequently put a deadline billed for 10th February 2017 for online course registration after students had used over #15000 for registrations, they were told that it was Bald a dash and that online course registration mattered and then school fees must be payed before it is done....After that he gave 20000 students 48hours to pay school fees knowing that some had no registration number and even the ones that had registration number, haven't been verified... After the 48hours elapsed, he added #5000 on these school fees and a further #5000 in a day's time and these led to uproar by the students given the current nation's recession.
2.  Monopolistic banking: FUTO covers over 5 villages and yet have one mal functioning bank called Diamond Bank. Students have frequently complained for an introductionof another bank in FUTO but yet we realized that Diamond bank pays the school heavily in order to prevent competition and these same diamond bank have become extortive, collecting charges at will from 20000 student's account which is  not fair, the crowd and stress of withdrawing is alarming given that 26000 students depends on one Bank..imagine the hell of paying school fees and yet vc gave 48 hours deadline.

How?
1. Destruction of all buildings except the Senate, Seet complex and new library
2. Destruction of ICT centre plus vandalism of 106 desktop in total
3. Fighting of staffs and many others

Truly FUTO students took these too far, which is annoying but looking at the rate of the protest is an evidence that the anger had been built for many years and not just of recent.

Strike?
It is yet to be known but the chances of a strike is 90% given that there is no surviving lecture hall in FUTO. The duration of the strike we don't know but we hope FUTO resumes quickly and students get back to school.
